Choosing me is choosing your story. I edit and read with your vision in mind, and on that note, I’d like to say CONGRATULATIONS on creating your work. I can’t wait to learn more about your premise and characters. I’ve always had a passion for understanding other people’s stories—whether they’re Contemporary or Fantasy, fiction or creative nonfiction, YA or Adult. My job is not to change your voice, style, or vision, but to elevate them. I want to help transform your characters, plot, conflicts, settings, themes, and messages into a living, breathing world that readers can delve into with no regrets.

02. Constructive, Not Destructive Criticism
Edits and critiques can challenge your ideas, emotions, and abilities — but trusting your words with another person should never lead to lower self-esteem, confidence, or drive. As an editor and reader, my intention is to point out your strengths as well as the things that I think can be improved. I want to help build up your work, not tear it down or try to remake it into something it’s not. So, that said, I will consider the writer and their work with respect and the acknowledgment that I’m not always right. 03. My Experiences
I’ve had over 9 years’ experience as a freelance editor, beta reader, sensitivity reader, and proofreader. Furthermore, my degree and background of working in a psychology research lab and conducting reading therapy at a hospice has enabled me to professionally, and personally, study human behavior and development. I’d love to give the same attention to your characters’ journeys and arcs.

As for being a sensitivity reader, Black American, Afro-Latine/x, and HoH/Deaf cultures have defined my life. I’m ready to bring these diverse perspectives to any project. I value helping writers create books they’re proud of and ready to send out into the world.​
